HOW IT HAPPENED...

Simon and Simon first met at school in their early teens. While Mr. Rigby went off to study journalism and eventually work in newspapers and PR, Mr. Hodgson went into hospitality and trained as a chef. Their careers meant they lost touch for some years, before meeting up again in 2005.

An avid dinner party host Mr. Rigby invited Mr. Hodgson as a guest. The inevitable happened… Mr Hodgson took over the kitchen, changed the menu for the evening and it was such a foodie success that an idea was hatched.

They began working on a cook book with the working title “The Proper Chap’s Cookbook” full of menus and ideas for hosting the ultimate dinner party with up to 5 courses.

Again, another twist in the story as this love of food and Mr. Hodgson’s skills led to the decision to open a country inn serving proper food… with a twist. Welcome to the concept… The Posh Nosh Pub Company Limited and it’s first Country Inn… The Greyhound at Botcheston.
